Kia Ora, my name is Natasha Kirby. I have been part of the wonderful Pōhutukawa team at Glendowie since January 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching here with such a close and supportive team.

I finished my Early Childhood degree in 2013 at Auckland University. I am married to my husband Tim, and we have two children, Ryder and Liliana, and also a dog called Buddy. I love spending time with my family and extended family and often find ourselves at the beach. Reading, music and crocheting have also been some of my past hobbies. I love working with our young tamariki as each day is never the same and can be full of surprises and amazing discoveries. I enjoy being able to be their co-learner whilst being around to guide their development through their interests. My personal philosophy is that children learn through their play and the relationships that are formed with their peers, Kaiako and the relationships with their whānau. Knowing that I have been a part of building a positive foundation for children brings me great joy!
